Iona and the Isle of Mull

Today, we did something we rarely do... we took an organized bus tour.  We booked the ferry/bus/ferry combination and spent 8 hours to visit the abbey on Iona.

The last part is all on foot, because cars are very limited on Iona.

Working to get to someplace so remote was kind of its own reward.

I had a simple lunch in the abbey refectory.

Charlie and Elodie had fish and chips at the dockside stand.

We continue to be impressed with the scenic beauty in Scotland.

After returning to our awesome apartment, none of us really wanted to go out or cook... we compromised and made a Tesco run and got mostly prepared things to heat up and ate in while we watched Belgium beat Brazil in the their World Cup match.

Tomorrow, we leave Oban and push further into the Highlands.  A hike in Glencoe and a stay at a guest house and a big meal are planned.
