London - Day 2 - Shakespeare's Old Globe, not riding the Eye, Vietnamese food in Chinatown

Today, Laura went off to a dental appointment, so I took the kids and we walked from the apartment past St Paul's, over the Millennium Bridge and to the Shakespeare's Globe theatre.  We visited the exhibition and took a tour.

After the tour, we had lunch bankside and then we walked down the London Eye.  I hadn't decided if we'd try to ride it or not, but when we got there the line was really, really long... the kids and I shared a look and decided that we didn't want to devote that much effort to riding it.  We settled for some picture beneath it instead.

Then, we walked back to the apartment.

Around that time, we touched base with Laura who'd finished her dental appointment.  She was doing some solo sightseeing.  Katie and I met her for Vietnamese dinner in Chinatown while Elodie and Charlie had a brother/sister dinner in.

Sort of a low-key sightseeing day, but we're planning better for the remaining three full days we have here in London (even purchased tickets already as a sign of commitment):
