York Minster; Jorvik Viking Centre, York Walls

Started the day right with a quick run around York and along the River Ouse

After breakfast in, we headed off to the Jorvik Viking Centre to see the exhibits there about the 10th century viking settlement in York.

Then, we walked the walls.

After a brief break, we headed out to York Minster, the biggest gothic cathedral in Europe.  It's massive!  We opt'd to climb up to the top of the central tower.

After that, Laura and I walked some more around the walls and then we rejoined the kids and we all had dinner on a riverside deck.

Tomorrow is our last drive day... we take the car to Heathrow, turn it in and head into central London and our flat where we'll stay for the next five nights.
